A favour, friends.

This weekend, the famed and fabulous Codrington Farmers' Market launches its 12th year!

Last year, the BDA worked with the Codrington Farmers' Market to produce a video, capturing the personalities and magic of this popular Sunday destination.

Almost 500 of you have watched the video and we would LOVE to get to 1,000 this year. We think we can do that by the first day of summer.

Help us! Click on this YouTube link (it's only a few minutes long), enjoy the video, hit Like (or Love) and then SHARE it with your network.

The market, like the BDA, is completely run by volunteers, and having you like and share our content means so much to us.

Watch. Like. Share.

Come to the Cod!

Our thanks to Dan Buchanan and Howard Goodfellow for these images. They are part of a much larger combined family collection we are currently digitizing.

These Herington & Son photos show the former Codrington Post Office and General Store in the early 1900s. The building stands today, as then, at the corner of County Road 30 and Aranda Way, immediately north of the Codrington Community Centre. Thankfully, it looks much the same, absent the horse and buggy.

Bonus points, because the historians recorded the names.

In the first photo, Lorne Riley Clark, Aaron Clark, Mary Austin, and a very young Grace Austin are on the veranda. F***y and Eva Clark are in the buggy.

In the second photo, we have Lorne Riley Clar), Lillian E. Clark, Grace Austin, F***y Matilda (Shaw) Clark, and Aaron Clark.
