The Salvation Army is deeply grateful for the incredible support shown by the community for those affected by the recent apartment fire in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

If you would like to help, donations of new or gently used items are welcome, including:

• Clothing
• Toiletries
• Bedding
• Household essentials
• Gift cards

🕒 Donation Drop-Off & Resident Pick-Up Hours:

• Saturday, June 13: 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday, June 14: 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Monday, June 15: 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

A Salvation Army Community Response Unit will also be on-site, offering coffee, tea, and a welcoming space for residents, donors, volunteers, and community partners.

We will continue to work with community partners to assess needs and ensure donations are directed to those most impacted by the fire. Together, we can support individuals and families as they begin the recovery process.

I’m thrilled to be participating as a special guest in Beyond Band-Aids’ upcoming Community Action Workshop, alongside other community members, representatives, and advocates

Our communities are stronger when people feel empowered to speak up, get involved, and help shape positive change. Often, the hardest part is knowing where to start. This workshop is a chance to talk about practical ways people can turn concern into action, build connections, and contribute to positive change together.

This workshop is open to everyone and will explore practical steps we can take, individually and collectively, to make a difference.

Thank you to Beyond Band-Aids for creating space for this kind of conversation and action. I’m looking forward to being part of it. 🙏
