After a successful event in May, we are hosting another in June!

Ready for what’s next? 🚀

Are you an autistic teen looking for a summer job? Or a parent trying to help your teen navigate the world of employment? We know it can feel like a lot—but you don’t have to figure it out alone!

Come hang out at our What’s Next? drop-in session. It’s a casual, cozy space to get the inside scoop on employment supports and services.

When: Wednesday, June 17th | 6 PM – 7 PM

Where: 134 North St, Bridgewater (Autism Nova Scotia South Shore)

Host: Mallary, your local Outreach Coordinator & employment support bestie!

Every day, we have the privilege of connecting with autistic individuals, families, caregivers, volunteers, and community partners throughout Lunenburg and Queens Counties.

Whether you've attended a program, received support, connected with a staff member, volunteered with us, or participated in one of our events, we'd love to hear about your experience.

*Note this is the last month for our Sensory Friendly Swim and Sensory Concert.*
We have programs planned that offer community, connection and fun! Here is what is happening this month:

📣Announcement Adult Social-ish Club – Running this Summer monthly!

A relaxed space to connect, share, and build friendships.

🎵 Sensory Concerts - at Lunenburg Academy

All ages enjoy live music in a sensory friendly environment that welcomes movement & expression.

🏊Sensory Friendly Swim

An opportunity to swim at the LCLC in a low sensory environment.

💼What’s next? Youth employment support session

Drop-in receive support and connect with Mallary our outreach coordinator/ employment support, enjoy snacks and drinks provided at our Chapter Office (134 North St, Bridgewater)

💬Liverpool Regional High School Lunch Social

A casual, welcoming space for students to hangout during lunch break.

Free online Autism Education Sessions for families of preschool-aged children with autism continue through June. Learn about autism, get practical strategies for everyday life, and explore supports available across Nova Scotia.

Session topics include behaviour, communication, toileting, sleep, mealtimes, transition to school, and more.
