Our Storywalk and scavenger hunt for the book, 'A Garden to Save the Birds,' is posted outside the Ennismore Library from Friday until Monday evening. Enjoy a sweet story as you take a little stroll among the flowers. Hunt sheets can be downloaded from our program calendar, screenshot from the title page in the garden, or picked up inside during open library hours. We will draw for one winner next week!

Just a reminder that our Needlework Group meets next week - we hope to see you and your wonderful projects! Join us in the SPL Makerspace on Tuesday, September 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., or Wednesday, September 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Needlework Group is an open drop-in time to work on your knitting, crochet, and other needlework projects in a social setting. Please note: no formal instruction will be provided.

We're looking for a volunteer to join us at the Ennismore Library every other Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you've ever been interested in participating in the day-to-day operations at the library this is the perfect opportunity! Become one of our circulation desk volunteers and assist patrons with checking in and out books, finding items in our collection, and recommending your favourite reads. No experience required.

You can fill out a volunteer application in person at our Ennismore branch, or print it off our website at https://www.mypubliclibrary.ca/support-my-library/library-volunteer-opportunities/ and drop it off during open hours. We've wrapped up our TD Summer Reading Club for 2026! Big thanks to Camryn Staude for prepping and delivering such wonderful weekly programs for us once again. Did you know that our participants read over45,000 minutes this summer? WOW!

Toddlertime for ages 15-35 months is starting soon at our Lakefield branch. Join us at 9:30am on Tuesdays for interactive stories, songs, instrument and teddy bear play! It's a non-stop 30 minutes of fun for your and your little one. Siblings welcome. Begins September 8th. Register via our website.
