We Lend A Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes tells the remarkable true story of 40,000 teenage girls who stepped up during and after WWII to work on Ontario farms, helping feed Canada during a critical time in history 🇨🇦

Free Event: Being Neighbours with the Langford Conservancy and Catharine Wilson

Interested in learning more about the history of rural communities? The Langford Conservancy is excited to be hosting Dr. Catharine Wilson Rural Diary Archive as she speaks about her book that explores barn raising, threshing and quilting bees in Ontario, 1830-1960 through historical farm diaries.

The Langford Conservancy is working to create a museum with a rural archive of records from the area, so community members are encouraged to share old photos, histories, and artifacts from the community.

The event will include:
✍🏻A display of old diaries
☕️Light refreshments and snacks
📔Copies of the book available for purchase
🚜Display of archives from the Langford community
🌾Discussion and time to share your own artifacts and stories
