Join us this Saturday, May 30th for a Rainbow Art Party in the Garden!

Make colourful creations with community while surrounded by the beauty of ‘s Woodman Park Community Garden!

Art created during the event will be donated and displayed in ‘s Mobile Art Cart/Free Little Art Gallery during June.

Your Rainbow art just might brighten someone else’s day!

When: Saturday, May 30th, 2-5pm
(Weather permitting)

Where: Woodman Park Community Garden (behind the community centre)

Rainbow Art Party in the Garden!!! 🌈🎨🌷

Join the Neurodivergent Artist Collective and Sidewalk Joy for an afternoon of colourful creative expression in the Woodman Park Community Garden!

Make rainbow themed art to donate to Sidewalk Joy’s Free Little Art Gallery/Mobile Art Cart to be displayed in June. Your rainbow art just might brighten someone else’s day!

A variety of art supplies and materials will be provided to use, or bring your own if you wish!

Date: Saturday, May 30th

Time: 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Location: Woodman Park Community Garden (491 Grey St, Brantford)

Free - pay what you may donations accepted to help support the ongoing work of participating community organizations.

Are you an artist with some free time on May 24th?

Brantford’s Wheels on the Pavement event is in need of a few more volunteers to assist with kid’s face painting.

When and where:
Sunday, May 24th
10:00am - 1:00pm
Mohawk Park in Brantford

Face painting supplies will be provided, all you need to bring is creativity and enthusiasm!

Art As Activism!

In honour of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), join us at the main branch of the on May 14th to make mixed media art with NAC, support and admire the work of local 2SLGBTQIA+ artists, and engage in meaningful connections and conversations with community.

Date: May 14, 2026
Time: 6pm - 7:30pm
Location: BPL Main Branch, 3rd Floor
(173 Colborne St, Brantford)
Free event, all materials are provided. Everyone is welcome!

CALL FOR ARTISTS:

Are you a local 2SLGBTQIA+ visual artist who wants to display some art during the event? There’s still time to submit your work!

Interested artists are asked to please email [email protected] with the following info:

- a brief artist statement
- artwork details (Title, medium, approximate size, displaying requirements, and anything else you think we should know)
- Contact info/social media handles (so that folks know where to find more of your art)

Deadline to submit art: May 10

Note: you must be able to drop off your art at the library on or before May 14 at 5pm and be able to pick it up at the end of the event or within a few days. If you require assistance with this, send us a message and we’ll try to figure it out!

Craft Club @ CAB is back this Wednesday, May 6th!

Spend a cozy, crafty evening with fellow neurodivergent folks and join us for the Mental Health Week edition of Craft Club. This month, NAC volunteer Peter will guide us through experimenting with different methods of creating mandalas (like the layered paper example in the third photo).

Choose the medium that resonates with you, whether that’s painting, drawing, cut & paste or even making a pattern with stickers!

Date: Wednesday, May 6th

Time: 6-8pm

Location: 65 Sky Acres Dr., Brantford
(In the Expressive Arts room)

Cost: $5 cash donation*, materials and instruction provided

Everyone is welcome, all ages, abilities and skill levels!
