🏡 October is Renovators' Month!

The Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) and Ontario Home Builders' Association (OHBA) are celebrating Renovators' Month throughout October, recognizing the skill, expertise and craftsmanship of professional renovators.

To help celebrate, BHBA President Kristin Boughner of Boughner Construction takes us behind the scenes of a major renovation project just outside Brantford!

From custom steelwork to the transformation of an existing space, this project highlights the planning and craftsmanship that go into a major home renovation.

Throughout October, we're proud to recognize the renovators who are helping homeowners reimagine and transform their homes.

Thanks to Kristin and Boughner Construction for giving us a look at their work! 🔨

What a fantastic few days at Blue Mountain for the 2026 OHBA Conference!

From important industry discussions and great networking opportunities to catching up with old friends and making new connections, it was a wonderful reminder of the strength of our home building community.

A special shoutout to the incredible OHBA staff! The planning and hard work that go into an event like this are enormous, yet you made it all look effortless. From the meetings to the receptions and celebrations, everything was so well done!

Behind every great conference is an even greater team, and OHBA certainly has one!

On behalf of the Brantford Home Builders' Association, thank you for your dedication, hospitality and everything you do for our industry throughout the year.

Congratulations to the entire OHBA team on a job well done! 👏

A nice change of pace after a full day of meetings at the OHBA Conference!

After spending the day in meetings and talking about the serious issues facing Ontario’s home building industry, it was great to head up to Off-Piste for the Opening Reception.

With incredible views over Georgian Bay, a beautiful sunset and the illuminated domes, it was the perfect setting to relax, reconnect with colleagues from across the province and enjoy the evening.

Sometimes the best conversations happen after the meetings are over.

A great evening at the Organized Kaos BBQ, where tonight’s theme was Restoration.

We learned more about OK Restored — a project that is about restoring much more than a house.

As a Brantford home is brought back to life, young people will work alongside mentors, learning skilled trades, building confidence and discovering what they are capable of.

For BHBA, there’s a powerful connection. Our industry knows the value of building and restoring homes — and through this project, those same skills can help build and restore lives.

Thank you Organized Kaos for a wonderful evening and for sharing the vision behind OK Restored.
