Brantford Home Builders' Association - BHBA The Brantford Home Builders' Association (BHBA) is the voice of the residential construction / renovation industry in Brantford and Brant County, Ontario.

For over 60 years, the Brantford Home Builders’ Association (BHBA) has been a strong advocate for the home building and renovation industry in the Brantford and Brant County areas of Ontario. We are a not-for-profit trade association comprised of Member businesses and organizations from this area. BHBA Members collaborate with our community to enhance quality of life, to build well-crafted housing

and to promote economic prosperity. We support the interests of our industry, we help to facilitate positive changes within it and we help our Members succeed. We provide an important networking forum for our Members to enhance communication and networking. Improving the local building climate – an essential element in housing affordability – is one of our main priorities. We maintain a constant and productive dialogue with legislators and decision-makers at every level to inform and educate building-sector regulators. Our association is also a means through which local home builders, renovators, suppliers and professionals offer their personal time and resources to our community and to local education initiatives. We are members of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA), representing more than 8,500 member firms across Canada. We are also members of the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA).

⛳ Last weekend, EO Jennifer Stuart was pleased to attend the Dave Hislop Memorial Golf Tournament in support of our member Organized Kaos.

It was a fantastic day filled with great golf, great people, and plenty of laughs in support of an important cause. One of the highlights of the day was the Big Putt challenge, where participants traded their putters for a mini excavator and put their skills to the test in a unique and entertaining competition!

Events like these are a great reminder of the strong sense of community that exists within our membership and throughout Brantford-Brant. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to honour Dave Hislop's memory while supporting the incredible work being done by Organized Kaos.

Thank you to everyone involved in making the tournament such a success. We look forward to seeing it continue to grow in the years ahead.

Myth #6: “Delays mean poor management.”

It’s easy to assume delays are the result of mismanagement—but that’s rarely the case.

The reality: Construction timelines are influenced by many factors outside a builder’s control. Approval processes, permitting timelines, servicing and infrastructure, labour availability, supply chains, and even weather all play a role.

Builders are constantly working to keep projects moving, but they’re navigating a complex system with many moving parts.

If we want to reduce delays, it takes coordination, efficiency, and collaboration across the entire process—not just on the job site.

Christy Bowman from EMCO showcased how their showroom experience helps both builders and homeowners. They highlighted their ability to guide customers through fixture and finish selections, making the process easier while giving builders access to product expertise and coordinated selections through their showroom network. EMCO's showroom division, The Ensuite, is specifically geared toward helping homeowners and builders make plumbing and fixture selections for new homes and renovations.
