SATURDAY DROP-IN CLOSURE
October 24, 2026

We are so sorry, but due to illness, we must cancel our Saturday Drop-In Program this week, October 24th.

We truly hate having to close, as our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for our community every weekend. Unfortunately, illnesses happen, and we always want to ensure our staff and volunteers have the time they need to rest and take care of themselves. ๐Ÿ’™

THE GOOD NEWS: WE WILL BE OPEN ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 20 Darling Street. We hope you'll come out and spend some time with us!

In the meantime, just because our Saturday Drop-In is closed doesn't mean you have to stay home alone. If you're able, consider reaching out to a friend or family member, meeting someone for a coffee, or getting outside for a short walk. Sometimes a little fresh air or a friendly conversation can make a difference.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope everyone is feeling better soon so we can welcome you all back next week!

Please take care of yourselves and each other. Wishing everyone a safe and healthy weekend! ๐ŸŒป

Walk & Talk Cancelled
Wednesday, October 21

Unfortunately, we have to cancel tomorrow's Walk & Talk due to illness. We sincerely apologize for the cancellation, but the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and participants are always our priority.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back next week!

In the meantime, it looks like we're in for some beautiful fall weather! ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ Even though we won't be walking together, we encourage you to get outside, enjoy a little sunshine, take a stroll, and soak up the beauty of autumn. A little fresh air, movement, and time outdoors can do wonders for your mood and mental well-being.

Take good care of yourselves, enjoy the lovely fall days, and we look forward to seeing you all next week!

Happy Global Peer Support Celebration Day!

Today, H.O.P.E. celebrates our amazing peer support workers and the incredible difference they make in the lives of others.

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œPeer Support Belongs Here,โ€ reminds us that everyone deserves support rooted in lived experience, understanding, connection, and hope.

To our dedicated peer support team, THANK YOU for sharing your experiences, offering a listening ear, encouraging recovery, and reminding others that they are not alone. Your compassion and commitment make a meaningful difference in our community, and we want you to know how much you are valued and appreciated!

Today, and every day, we celebrate you and the important work you do. ๐Ÿ’™

Peer support belongs here. Hope belongs here. Recovery belongs here.

Happy Thanksgiving from HOPE! ๐ŸŒป

Our offices will be closed on Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday filled with warmth, laughter, and time with family and friends.

Remember, that gratitude doesn't have to be about the big things. Sometimes, it's the little moments, a kind word, a friendly smile, or knowing someone cares that make all the difference. We are thankful for our wonderful HOPE community!

May this weekend bring moments of gratitude, connection, and hope.

Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! ๐Ÿงก

Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change

Today, we recognize World Mental Health Day and the importance of truly listening to people with lived experience of mental health challenges.

Mental health awareness is important, but it must go beyond awareness. It means listening without judgment, respecting peopleโ€™s experiences, and ensuring that those who have lived through mental health challenges have a meaningful voice in shaping the services, supports, and decisions that affect their lives.

At H.O.P.E., we know that lived experience matters. Sometimes, connecting with someone who understands because they have walked a similar path can make all the difference. Peer support reminds us that we are not alone, that our experiences have value, and that recovery is possible.

Everyone deserves to be heard, understood, respected, and supported. By listening to lived experiences and working together, we can help build a more compassionate and inclusive community where no one has to face their mental health journey alone.

๐Ÿ’š Real voices deserve to be heard. Real experiences deserve to matter. And real change begins when we listen.

Plans are in full force for our annual Client Christmas party. The planning committee needs your help! Donations are needed for door prizes. Weโ€™re also seeking sponsorship and cash donations of whatever amount youโ€™re able to give. A HUGE THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at Riverview Terrace Retirement Residence ๐Ÿ’™

Once again, the amazing staff at Riverview Terrace have held a bake sale in support of H.O.P.E. and our peer support programs, and we couldnโ€™t be more grateful!

We are so fortunate to have such wonderful community partners who continue to support the work we do and believe in the importance of mental health and peer support.

A special thank-you to our longtime volunteer, Anita, for helping make this happen! Anita, we truly appreciate your dedication to H.O.P.E. and everything you do to support our programs and the people we serve. We are so lucky to have you as part of our H.O.P.E. family! ๐Ÿ’™

Your generosity truly makes a difference! Thanks to your contribution, our fundraising total has now climbed to over $12,000! ๐ŸŽ‰

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone at Riverview Terrace and to Anita for your continued support and for helping us make a difference in the lives of those in our community. We appreciate you more than words can say! ๐ŸŒป

๐Ÿ’š Supporting Walk for HOPE ๐Ÿ’š

Our residents came together to support Walk for HOPE, an annual Brantford fundraiser supporting HOPE Brant and its peer-support programs for people living with mental health challenges.

With the help of our amazing kitchen team, we held a fresh cupcake fundraiser ๐Ÿง, and our residents were happy to come together to support this meaningful cause.

We were especially proud to present our donation to one of our residents, who volunteers with H.O.P.E. ๐Ÿ’š It was such a special moment to see the support come full circle within our own community.

Thank you to our residents and kitchen team for making this fundraiser such a wonderful success!
