Congratulations and thank you to The County of Brant Chamber of Commerce for organizing a great golf tournament at Fescue's Edge Golf Club. A huge thank you to all sponsors and donors, including Strodes BBQ & Deli for cooking up a fantastic dinner.

Community Living Brant entered a golf team, comprised of Simon Jennions, Supervisor, Danielle Woodcock, Manager, Jim MacAlpine, Director – Board and Kevin Noseworthy, Administrative & Communications Assistant. Congrats to Simon for winning the “Closest to the pin,” competition at the tournament!!!

Our team had the opportunity to network with many other local businesses and organizations. In addition, our Supported Employment Community Living Brant staff Jayme Wilson-Belore and Christie Richardson volunteered to monitor the hole in one competition hole and capture golfer and team photos. Their conversations with golfers were successful on a few employment leads for people we support ~ great job!!!

ODSP Rates to Increase by 2.8%
The Ontario government has announced that ODSP rates will be increasing by 2.8%.
The 2025 inflation-based increase to ODSP will take effect on July 1, 2025. People receiving ODSP will see an inflation-based increase of 2.8% to:
• basic needs and shelter maximum amounts for singles and families
• board and lodge amounts for singles and families
• the amount provided for a couple where both have disabilities
• amounts for services provided by a Long-Term Care Home or a Specialized Care Residence

May is Community Living Month and Mayor Davis has requested that the City of Brantford City Hall, in the evenings, be illuminated in Blue and Green from May 24-28, to celebrate with Community Living Brant the accomplishments of people in our community and to bring awareness about the importance of inclusivity for people who have an intellectual disability and their families.
