What a GREAT day at the Family Fun Day! 🎉

The sun was on our side this year and it showed! A bigger crowd, more waste to divert, and an amazing community vibe made this one of our favourite events of the season so far.

Here’s what we kept out of the landfill:
♻️ 4 bags of recycling
🌱 1 bag of compost
📦 1 bag of paper

And just ONE bag headed to landfill. We call that a win!

We’re so proud to partner with the Branlyn Neighbourhood Association year after year to make sure this community celebration is as green as it is fun.

Thank you to everyone who sorted their waste and to our incredible volunteers Jeremy, Ken, Ken, Mary and Karleigh who showed up and made it happen. See you next year!

Brantford’s Canada Day at Lions Park is our BIGGEST event of the year and we need amazing volunteers to help us keep the festival green.

Over 20,000 people attend this event and our team works hard to make sure as much waste as possible stays out of landfill. Last year we hit a 78% diversion rate and we’re ready to push even further in 2026!

The City of Brantford is now accepting volunteer applications for Canada Day on July 1, 2026!

Volunteers get:
✅ A keepsake t-shirt
✅ Community hours (if applicable)
✅ A great day with an incredible team

Training is Thursday, June 25 at 6:00 PM at Lions Park Auditorium.

Wheels on the Pavement 2026 is a wrap! 🚛✅

What an absolutely incredible day at Mohawk Park! The energy, the kids, the community, and this crew made today one for the books.

We’re so proud to share that our team helped divert waste at today’s event, and we walked away with just ONE bag headed to landfill. That’s the kind of result that makes all the hard work worth it!

Thank you to Brantford Station, Downtown Central, Eagle Place, East Ward Echo Place, Holmedale, and West Brant Neighbourhood Associations for organizing such an amazing event.

We are already looking forward to next year! 🎉

Mark your calendars for Wheels on the Pavement! 🚛🚗🚌🚐🚜🚒🚓🚑🚚

We’re so excited to be part of Brantford’s 6th Annual Wheels on the Pavement on Sunday, May 24 from 10am to 1pm! This year the event has a brand new location at Mohawk Park, 51 Lynnwood Drive and we can’t wait to see everyone there.

This is a free, family-friendly event with big vehicles, community fun, and a whole lot to see. We’ll see you there!

We’re so excited to be joining the Branlyn Neighbourhood Association’s Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 30th from 10am to 2pm at the Branlyn Community Centre! 🎉

Our Green Team will be on-site helping with waste diversion, making sure as much as possible stays out of the landfill. We’ll have compost, recycling, and garbage sorting stations set up and we’re here to make sustainability easy for everyone attending! 😊

Join the fun: Bouncy castle, the Jungle James Reptile Show, games, crafts, Touch A Truck, gardening activities AND free hotdogs, popcorn, and freezies!

Take a look at those bags 👀🙌 Only 2 bags headed to landfill and the rest is diverted to organics and recycling where it belongs.
