CRS Food Bank & Distribution Services offer an Emergency Food Bank Service to Brantford, Brant County, and Six Nations residents, as well as Food Distribution Services to 26 food and meal providers in our community. Children, families, seniors, and youth all access our Emergency Food Bank, and by supporting both individuals and other food and meal programs, we ensure we are offering support to all

those who suffer from hunger in our community. Our experienced Employment Specialists offer resource areas and workshops to adults and newcomers to Canada. We can also provide eligible clients with job trials and job placements with suitable employers. Our job boards and internet service provide access to numerous job possibilities as well. CRS Employment Services can also assist employers in finding a good match for their organization. We support both parties through the process of starting a new job in order to help determine whether the match is successful. CRS EMPLOYMENT SERVICES LOCATION:

CRS Christmas Baskets has one simple goal, which is to ensure that no child goes without a toy at Christmas, and no family goes without a Christmas dinner. This program relies on the generosity of our community, and for over 50 years, our community has come together to help those less fortunate. Christmas Baskets opens the first week of November and delivers food hampers within the last few days before Christmas. The success of this program relies heavily on the commitment of our community, and the dedication of our volunteers.

Back at the end of May, we had the pleasure of attending the Fedcap BEST Awards, where our very own Tammy Chusing was nominated for Frontline Person of the Year.

This recognition celebrates Tammy’s outstanding work in retention services over the past year, including her success as the winner of the In-Work Support Exchange competition.

Last Tuesday, we held our Annual General Meeting and reflected on another year of serving our community.

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, board members, donors, community partners, and supporters who make our work possible. Together, we continue to provide food support, employment service, and hope to thousands of individuals and families in Brantford and Brant County.

Community Resource Service's vital services to the residents of Brantford include the emergency food bank, where individuals and families can access a selection of nutritious food. A related initiative – Caring Beyond the Table – expands the food bank offerings to include essential care items such as basic toiletries, feminine hygiene supplies, cleaning products, and infant care needs like diapers, wipes and formula. Support from the Brant Community Foundation will help ensure essential items are available to community members who need them most.
