Things are coming along at our West Street Development! The concrete structure is taking shape, and it’s exciting to see this building moving forward.

Once complete, our West Street Development will bring much needed 18 affordable homes for Indigenous families, seniors, and individuals.

This development will not just be creating places to live, but will create safe spaces strengthening community, and building a future rooted in dignity, belonging, and opportunity.

We’re excited to see things coming together and look forward to sharing more progress along the way.

Working in community services can be rewarding, and we feel that everyday. But community service work also comes with challenges. Our staff work hard to support our tenants and community, and it’s just as important that they have the tools to look after their own wellbeing, manage stress, and maintain healthy boundaries at work.

Our staff genuinely care about the individuals and families we serve. They put so much time, effort, and heart into their work, and we see the difference they make in our community every day. We’re lucky to have a team that shows up, builds relationships, and works hard to support people through both the good times and the difficult ones.

Training like this helps our team navigate the demands of frontline work while supporting a healthy and productive workplace. It also helps to ensure we continue providing the best possible support to the people and families we serve.

Supporting our staff is an important part of supporting our community. We’re glad to see our team taking the time to learn, grow, and build on the skills they bring to their work every day!

This evening, community members gathered to make ribbon skirts for those attending Bear Grease. It was an inspiring night filled with fun, learning, culture, and connection as everyone worked to create something meaningful. Thank you so much to all that attended for your time, effort, and kindness.

A huge thank you to Lori for sharing her expertise, knowledge, and guidance throughout the evening. We are so grateful for the time and heart you invested in the program.

Yesterday, our Manager of Research and Strategic Initiatives attended the 2026 Nonprofit Data Capacity Summit in Toronto.

An important theme that came up throughout the day was that good community data is built with people, not just about them. Lived experience matters, and meaningful research happens when we work alongside community members and organizations, not just collect data about them.

These conversations are an important reminder of why community-driven, Indigenous-led approaches to data, research, and decision-making matter.

It is the time of year for gathering and enjoying warm delicious meals together!

Today, at our senior building we came together to enjoy a delicious meal, good conversation, and lots of laughs.

Programs and gatherings like this are so important. They create opportunities for our community to get to know one another, build friendships, and feel connected to their neighbours and community. Some of the friendships that have grown between our tenants may never have happened without these gatherings of coming together, and that’s pretty special.

A big thank you to our Wellness Worker Vanessa and Transitional Housing Worker Doug for coordinating such a delicious meal and creating another wonderful opportunity to connect, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate the season together.

So thankful 🧡🍂

A little harvest, a lot of heart!

Our Transitional Housing Team has been busy all day preparing a nourishing harvest meal for our transitional clients and families to enjoy together. We appreciate all the heart, care, and hard work you put into creating these special moments. You’re truly appreciated!

Sharing a meal, having a laugh, and spending time together may seem like simple things, but they can mean so much. These moments help create connection, support healing, and build a stronger sense of community.

A big thank you to our Cultural Coordinator for facilitating medicine pouches for everyone to make together. It was a great way to connect, share, and learn from one another.

Grateful for good food, good company, culture, connection, and community.

We are excited to share that the lot has been cleared and is being prepared for construction, the work is underway! As we are one step closer, we understand that great things take time, and we will continue to share updates throughout the development.

We can't wait to watch Ojistoh House take shape!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this important project and our vision for the future.

Tonight, our community came together to learn how to make leather medicine bags.

With hands busy and conversations flowing, members shared skills and helped each other along the way. There was plenty of laughter, learning, and connection woven into the evening.

Miigwech and Nya:węh to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special.
