❄️⛸️ Spring Gardens Needs You! ⛸️❄️

The Spring Gardens Neighbourhood Association is looking to revitalize its executive team with fresh faces, new ideas, and community-minded residents who want to make a difference!

We're also working to keep the beloved outdoor neighbourhood ice rink operating this winter, but we need volunteers to help make it happen.

Whether you can lend a little time or take on a larger role, your involvement helps strengthen community connections and create opportunities for neighbours to come together.

🏡 Live in the Spring Gardens neighbourhood?

☕ LET'S GET COZY, NEIGHBOURS! 🍂

There's something about fall that makes a warm drink taste even better.

So, we have to ask...

🍁 What's your go-to fall drink?

☕ Pumpkin spice latte
🍎 Hot apple c***r
🍵 Tea and a cozy blanket
☕ Coffee, always coffee!
🍫 Hot chocolate
🥤 Something else entirely!

Tell us your favourite in the comments. Bonus points if you share a photo of your actual mug!

And while we're at it, what's your favourite spot to enjoy it? On the porch, curled up on the couch, or on a walk through the neighbourhood?

Tag your favourite coffee or treat buddy!

🎃🔒 Secure Outdoor Items 🍂🏡

Fall is a busy time of year for outdoor projects, yard maintenance, and seasonal decorating. From raking leaves and cleaning up gardens to putting up Halloween decorations, many of us have tools, equipment, and other items outside more often than usual.

Unfortunately, unattended items can become easy targets for theft or create safety hazards if left out in the open.

🪜 Ladders, 🛠️ tools, 🚲 bicycles, 🍁 yard equipment, and 🎃 seasonal decorations should be stored securely when not in use. Not only does this help protect your property, but it also reduces the risk of accidents and injuries.

✅ Store tools and equipment in a locked shed, garage, or secure storage area.
✅ Put away ladders after use to prevent unauthorized access to your home.
✅ Secure or anchor larger decorations that could be damaged or blown away by strong fall winds.
✅ Keep walkways, driveways, and sidewalks free of equipment and extension cords to prevent trips and falls.
✅ Label valuable tools and equipment whenever possible.
✅ Consider motion-sensor lighting around sheds, garages, and side yards.

🍂 A few minutes spent putting things away at the end of the day can save you the cost and frustration of replacing stolen items and help keep your property safe for family, neighbours, and visitors.

💙 Let's work together to keep our neighbourhoods safe, tidy, and welcoming this fall.

Happy Thanksgiving, neighbours!

Thanksgiving is a reminder that sometimes the greatest blessings are found in the simplest things: a friendly wave, a helping hand, a shared meal, a neighbour who makes us feel like we belong...

May your weekend be filled with gratitude, connection, and little moments that remind you how wonderful community can be. Here’s to being thankful for where we live, and even more thankful for the people who make it home.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm and happy Thanksgiving.
