Good morning! WE HAVE POWER!

First of all, I want to give a HUGE shoutout to our friends over at Sammys Rec Room!! ❤️

When they told us we are more than welcome to use their fridge space if needed after we helped them out during the last storm when they lost power, we didn’t think we’d be needing to take them up on their offer so soon 😅

But, after being without power for several hours last night with no clear update on when it would be restored, we knew we had to do something to save our inventory.

After speaking with one of the owners, she graciously, without hesitation invited us to bring ALL our cold product over to their restaurant to save what we could and I am SO grateful to have friends like that in our restaurant community 🙏🏻❤️

So please, go show Sammys some love today by dining with them or ordering take-out. They deserve to be recognized.

As for us, we are OPEN today from 12-8pm and tomorrow 12-10pm before we take a brief break before school starts back up for most of our staff here.

Thank you once again for everyone’s patience and kind words of support as we navigated through the power outage last night. We are forever grateful ❤️❤️

Hi community, ive comming with a big ask , but im sure we can help this mom. I vouch this need is real, and very nice family. Id really like to help this family please. If you have a working stove to gift ill have two volunteers go pick it up and bring to this family. If you can donate a new to this family new or used working condition stove please comment on this post or message me or email at [email protected]

Thank you so much for offering to post for us. ❤️ There are 7 of us living together — my mom, my sister, my brother, myself, and my three children. My husband currently lives away from us. Our stove has stopped working properly, and we really need one to be able to cook meals for our family. We would be very grateful for any working stove someone is willing to gift. Thank you so much for helping us.

Got ladybug nails today 🐞

We gave away lots of egg plant yesterday. Many people asked for how to cook, or freeze. I looked online found this to share

Method 1: Blanching (Best for Cubes and Slices)Wash and peel the eggplant, then cut it into 1/4-inch rounds or 1-inch cubes.Boil water with lemon juice (1/2 cup of lemon juice per gallon of water) to stop the flesh from turning brown.Blanch the pieces in the boiling water for 4 minutes.Cool the eggplant immediately in a bowl of ice water for 3 minutes, then pat dry.Flash freeze the pieces in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 1 hour. Store the frozen pieces in airtight freezer bags for up to 12 months.Method 2: Roasting (Best for Parmigiana or Stews)Slice the eggplant into 1/2-inch cutlets or halves, brush lightly with olive oil, and place on a baking sheet.Bake at 350°F to 400°F until tender and lightly browned (about 20 to 35 minutes).Cool the slices completely to room temperature.Wrap individual slices in wax paper or separate them with parchment paper so they do not stick together.Seal in a freezer bag and freeze for up to 6 to 12 months.Method 3: Pureeing (Best for Dips and Sauces)Roast whole halved eggplants cut-side up at 400°F for 35 to 45 minutes until the flesh is very soft.Scoop out the flesh and mash it or blend it in a food processor until smooth.Cool the puree completely, then pack it into freezer-safe containers or bags for up to 12 months
