Community Futures Westman has long supported entrepreneurs and organizations across southwest Manitoba. When their own downtown space needed repairs and improvements, BDDC funding helped make those projects possible without putting them off indefinitely.

Through the Commercial Space Improvement Program, they were able to complete much-needed work while receiving guidance from the BDDC team throughout the application process. As Bill Hogan shared, that support helped ensure their proposed improvements aligned with the program and contributed to a stronger downtown.

Stories like this are exactly what these programs are designed to support: helping downtown organizations invest in their spaces while contributing to a more welcoming and vibrant downtown Brandon.
