The folks at Cedar Hollow have been hard at work preparing for another season of scaring away hunger! With a range of dates and scare levels from October 23rd – 31st, there’s plenty of opportunity to check it out this Halloween!

The hamper program is looking for reusable bags! If you've accumulated a stockpile that need a new home, we would be happy to make use of them.

The Safe and Warm Shelter is looking for socks with all the wet weather we've been having. As we head towards colder temperatures, we're needing socks to help keep feet dry and warm!

If you're able to help, please feel free to drop off donations to the green doors at 820 Pacific Avenue. Ring the bell, and we'll come meet you!

With great consideration, we have decided to return to regular hamper hours on Tuesdays effective October 7th with our last evening hamper hours being October 6th, 2026.

For those who have previously attended during our extended Tuesday hours, please feel free to attend another day of the week if needed. We will remain open during our regular hours of Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we move forward.

Tomorrow, September 10th, we'll be attending the Knox United Church, Brandon, Manitoba annual Neighbourhood Connections Street BBQ! The event is free and everyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy a BBQ, family friendly activities, and info booths with resources on support services in Brandon.

*Please note that 17th Street between Louise and Victoria Ave will be closed to all but local traffic from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.*

Come and join the fun, we hope to see you there! 🌭🥤

We're back to school at the Training Centre! ✏🍎
Literacy classes resume on Monday, August 31st.
*For our returning students, this will be one week earlier than planned.*

The literacy program is designed for adults who are looking to improve their skills in reading, writing, document use, and oral communication. We can help you with:

- Reading, Writing, Math, and Communication
- Studying for the CAEC exam
- CELPIP
- Post-secondary and mature high school preparation
