The WYFA Season kicks off next week with practices on Tuesday, April 21st and Thursday, April 23rd. All of our players are encouraged to bring a friend who might be interested in football to come give it a try! No sign up required. Registration is open until May 1st, so there's lots of time to register after trying it out!

No equipment needed, just gym clothes, runners, and a water bottle!

U10 & U12 (2015-2018) Practices:
6:00pm - 7:00pm

U14 & U16 (2011-2014) Practices:
7:15pm - 8:30pm

All of WYFA activities are played at Boyd Stadium.

❗🏈 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN 🏈❗

Registration for WYFA's 2026 tackle football season is now open! Open to registrants born 2011 - 2018.

Here is some info on the upcoming season:

⚫️All WYFA activities take place at Boyd Stadium, located next to the Simplot Millennium Park ball diamonds.

⚫️WYFA provides all needed equipment, including a helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pads, football pants, and game jersey. The only equipment that is not provided are cleats and a practice jersey. Practice jerseys may be available for purchase at equipment handout.

⚫️Practices are on Tuesday & Thursday evenings beginning on April 21st:
​U10 & U12: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
U14 & U16: 7:15pm - 8:30pm

⚫️Each division will practice as a large group (no teams) for the first two weeks. Tuesday, April 21st & Thursday, April 23rd practices will be without pads (gym clothes and cleats).

⚫️Equipment Handout is on Saturday, April 25th & Sunday, April 26th:
U16 (Bantam): Saturday, 10:00am - 12:00pm
U14 (PeeWee): Saturday, 12:00pm - 2:00pm
U12 (Atom): Sunday, 10:00am - 12:00pm
U10 (Terminator): Sunday, 10:00am - 12:00pm

⚫️PeeWee & Bantam Evaluation Scrimmages on Saturday, May 2nd:
​U14 (PeeWee): 10:00am - 12:00pm
U16 (Bantam): 12:00pm - 2:00pm
U10 & U12 do not have evaluation scrimmages.
Team rosters will be assigned prior to practice on May 5th.

⚫️Games are on Saturdays (Team Schedules TBA):​
All games are played between 9:00am & 4:00pm.

⚫️The last day of the 2026 season is Saturday, June 27th.

If you are interested in coaching with WYFA in 2026 you are invited to attend a short meeting tomorrow, Thursday, March 26th, from 5:00pm - 6:00pm, in the library at Vincent Massey High School.

Prior to the meeting, please register with the Coaching Association of Canada's National Coaching Certification Program, if they have not already done so, by completing the free registration found here: https://thelocker.coach.ca/account/login

New this year WYFA is offering a Preseason Camp!

This 4 x 60min session, preseason introduction and refresher camp focuses developing the fundamental skills of football, and helping to build confidence and familiarity, to get ready for the upcoming WYFA tackle football season. Open to athletes of all experience levels. No previous football experience is required.

Activities will take place at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School in the gym, and feature coaches from the Crocus Plains Football Team and WYFA.

Registration fees: $50.00

Registration for the camp can be added to your regular WYFA Tackle Football online registration found at www.wyfa.ca. If you would like to register for this camp separately to try things out prior to committing to full registration, email us at [email protected] for separate registration options!

Camp Dates (Thursdays):
• March 26
• April 2
• April 9
• April 16

Session Times (60 minutes each):
• 10U & 12U – 7:00pm - 8:00pm
• 14U & 16U – 8:15pm - 9:15pm
