Thanks to all who attended the workshop, "Introduction on Two-Spirit Inclusion in Ceremony and Feather Wrapping," hosted by 2Spirit Manitoba Inc. in partnership with us! We believe that teachings like this one will help our community grow, diversify and become more inclusive.

Wanted: clothing, gender-affirming apparel, and surgical items!

We're building more programming to serve more Two-Spirit, transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse people in Westman. To help with this, we're now seeking donations of clothing, as well as pre- and post-surgical items used in gender-affirming surgeries. See slides for more information.

As always, monetary donations are greatly appreciated! Please send them via e-Transfer to [email protected]. Regular donations of binders, breast forms and pocketed bras for our Free Gender-Affirming Apparel program are also greatly appreciated. Our next Trans ID Clinic in Brandon will be at Sexuality Education Resource Centre Manitoba, SERC's Brandon office at Unit B - 345 10th St, on Thursday, August 6th at 6-8pm. Come for peer support with changing legal names/genders, and to have your applications to Manitoba Vital Statistics certified by our Commissioner for Oaths.

Drop-ins are welcome, but message us if you plan on coming, if possible! As we do not have a lawyer present, we do not provide legal advice. Please bring your driver's licence or Manitoba ID Card with your exact, current legal name and address (or ask us about different ID!). If you've started filling out any forms, please bring those as well. If you haven't started any forms yet, blank forms will be available.

Name/Gender Change Grants are back for July 2026!

We offer funding to cover the costs of a legal name/gender change in Manitoba, including Vital Stats fees, new birth/marriage certificates, fingerprinting fees, and more.

Please note the following changes for this intake:
- We have removed the requirement to not be eligible for legal name/gender change funding from Manitoba EIA, as we have been made aware that they no longer offer this funding.
- We now provide funding for updating Manitoba Métis Federation citizenship cards.
