Westman Immigrant Services is a not-for-profit organization providing settlement, employment and language programs and services to immigrants in Brandon and the Westman area. In addition to being a service provider, we liaise with community groups and organizations to work towards building capacity in our community for improving services to immigrants and refugees. In addition to being a service p

rovider, we liaise with existing educational programs and community groups. We will refer clients to other organizations in the area to help them meet their needs and to become independent within the community. Mission

Westman Immigrant Services assists newcomers in the Westman area by providing adult EAL and settlement services. Principles
- Immigrants have the right to fully participate in the social, political, cultural and economic life of Canada.
- Immigrants are vital to our economy. Settlement services are an integral part of the social services system.
- The strengths and benefits of a culturally diverse society are recognized and appreciated. Values
- Social Justice, Equality and Equity: We believe that every immigrant is entitled to equal access and opportunities to fully participate in Canadian society.
- Diversity: We respect the differences among people and believe that immigrants offer unique contributions to our society.
- Partnership & Cooperation: We believe in partnership and cooperative working relationships with other community organizations with similar interests and shared values that build on each other's strengths.

⚽ The FIFA World Cup kicks off today, and we're excited to celebrate two members of the WIS team who are part of the action!

Hannah and Abebayoh were selected to volunteer at FIFA events in Vancouver this month, representing both our organization and Rural Manitoba on the world stage. 🌎

We are incredibly proud of their commitment to support sports, culture and heritage and the opportunity to contribute to one of the world's largest sporting events.

A special thank you to the Inclusion in Canadian Sports Network for providing this incredible opportunity and supporting their participation.

Good luck, Hannah and Abebayoh - we can't wait to hear about your experiences! ⚽🎉
