Hummingbird Community Garden

Hummingbird Community Garden Hummingbird Garden is the largest community garden in Brandon. At that time, there were 14 gardeners and 14 plots.

In 2007, Healthy Brandon identified community gardening as a key way to reduce rates of chronic disease. Hummingbird Garden was created via a partnership with Samaritan House, as part of chronic disease prevention by providing low impact beneficial exercise. Today, Hummingbird Garden is a vibrant multi cultural gardening community containing over 400 plots, 18 of which are raised beds.
