Black Leaders Of Tomorrow - Peel Mentees must reside in the Region of Peel and between 16 and 24 years old.

The Black Leaders of Tomorrow (BLT) program is a business mentoring program for Black youth, aged 16 to 24 years from Peel Region, who wish to acquire the skills and knowledge to run a business successfully. Considering 30% of businesses don’t make it past the first 2 years while those who have the support of a mentor have a 70% success rate, joining the Black Leaders of Tomorrow (BLT) Youth Business Mentoring program is paramount to the Black business community. Specifically, the BLT program is a business mentoring program for Black youth who wish to acquire the skills and knowledge to run a business successfully or embark on the journey of becoming an entrepreneur and wish to reap the benefits of having a mentor. This engaging initiative offers the opportunity for young people to be mentored by a seasoned professional who supports them in developing a business plan which they can use to attract investors and gain access to capital. Mentees will also attend innovative workshops, group meetups and hone their business skills while having access to a supportive network.

Whether you’re ready to learn from someone who’s been there or share what you’ve learned along the way, this 12-week mentorship program creates space for Black youth and professionals to connect, grow and build together.

Mentees ages 16 to 24 can build practical skills, expand their networks, earn volunteer hours and receive a $400 honorarium upon completion.

Mentors ages 25+ can share their experience, support the next generation and help strengthen a growing network of Black leaders.
