Archangel Michael & St. Tekla - Coptic Orthodox Church We are a Coptic Orthodox Christian Church located in Brampton. We are part of the Coptic Orthodox Church which has its roots in Egypt.

The Coptic Orthodox Church (also known as the Church of Alexandria in ancient times) is under the direction of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II. This church was founded by St. Mark the Apostle who came to Egypt to preach the good news of Jesus Christ not too long after Christ’s resurrection. We belong to the Diocese of Mississauga, Vancouver and Western Canada under the guidance of His Grace Bishop Mina. As a church we strive to live out the faith handed down to the apostles by Jesus Christ. We strive to serve and love one another and live in unity with Christ and each other. The church offers many activities for all ages to foster fellowship and unity; there are activities for children, youth, young adults, parents, and seniors. The Church has begun construction on the St. George Building, which will include a gym as well as a daycare and many other facilities for child and youth activities. Fundraising is required for the completion of this building. You can visit our website for more information: http://www.michaelandsttekla.org/

June 1st celebrates the Feast of the Entrance of the Holy Family into the Land of Egypt. It is also recognized as Global Coptic Day! May we continue to remember the rich history of the Coptic Church and celebrate its enduring strength and victory in preserving its doctrines and traditions, as it has been for the past two millennia.
