Good food, big energy, and even bigger community! 
REST BBQ in collaboration with Our Place Peel was a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, creativity, and connection. From the kids getting creative with paint and the team preparing the BBQ , to staff races, team challenges, games, and plenty of cheering. There was never a dull moment!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, participated, competed, volunteered, and helped make the day such a memorable one.

From finding support to supporting others. 💚
When Keiyon first connected with REST, he was navigating housing uncertainty, financial challenges, and the possibility of homelessness. With support, guidance, and connections, he found greater stability and began looking beyond survival toward what he could build.
Today, Keiyon is using his passion for cooking to help lead REST’s Home Economics cooking class and connect with other youth. His journey is a reminder that when young people have someone to turn to, doors can open and new possibilities can take shape.

The REST Youth Council recently celebrated the completion of a learning course by our incredible Youth Council members!

Two events. One community. 💚🧡💛
We recently wrapped up our Family Workshop at Meadowvale Seventh Day Adventist Church, welcoming 28 community members for an afternoon of meaningful conversation and connection. We were grateful to hear such positive feedback about the presentation and the work REST is doing.
We also had the opportunity to connect with youth and community members at CAS Youth Fest, creating space for connection, participation, and fun!
From meaningful conversations to youth engagement, these moments remind us of the importance of coming together.
