Our hockey family is mourning the loss of our beloved Kathleen O’Brien. Kathy passed away this past August 30th with all her family by her side.

Kathy has been the manager for the Senior teams for the last 12 years and, prior to that, she managed Intermediate and younger teams for her daughter Emma beginning in 2003. She also assisted at weekly Bingo when volunteers were required.

Kathy’s husband is Jay O’Brien, coach of our Senior A team. also a member of the organization since 2003.

Kathy’s passion was family (Jay) and leaves four adult children (Emma, Joey, Jake and Jordan) and her greatest loves, her four grandchildren.

Kathy will be missed by us all, most specifically by our Senior Teams, and will be remembered forever. To honour her this season, our Senior Teams will wear this commemorative patch.

A celebration of life will be held this Sunday September 20th.
