Ustad Tari Khan: The virtuoso Tabla Maestro from Lahore’s Punjab gharana, born in 1953. He’s the first tabla player to receive the prestigious Taj Poshi (Golden Crown), along with the Hazrat Amir Khusro Award and Pakistan Television Music Award. With a lineage tracing back to Bhai Mardana, his performances at global venues like Delhi’s Habitat Centre and Japan’s Asian Music Conference have captivated audiences worldwide.
Dr. Roshan Bharti: A promising ghazal sensation from the Senia gharana, trained from age five by his father Ustad Yaseen Bharti and grandson of Ustad Jamal Khan. Holding a doctorate on the legendary Begum Akhtar from Rajasthan University, he’s a top-grade All India Radio artist, associate professor of Indian classical music for 25 years, and recent recipient of the JIMA Award for Best Ghazal Male Artist. His worldwide performances embody the essence of poetic emotion.
Abhijit Pohankar: Born in 1975 to classical vocalist Pandit Ajay Pohankar, he’s India’s only classical keyboardist and a fusion music maestro. Renowned for his groundbreaking album PIYA BAWARI, a milestone in Indian instrumental music, he blends traditional ragas with contemporary sounds as a composer, producer, and singer – the face of new-age Indian music!
