Brampton Board of Trade

Brampton Board of Trade Boosting Regional Economic Prosperity We have worked diligently to transform ourselves to meet the challenges facing our members in the 21st century.

The Brampton Board of Trade (BBOT) has generated enterprise productivity and community prosperity for thousands of businesses since 1887. From our humble beginnings in 1887, beginning with the Board’s first President Kenneth Chisholm, BBOT has consistently adapted and rebranded itself to effectively serve the needs of Brampton’s constantly evolving and dynamic business community. BBOT has embraced

the emerging creative economy that redefines Brampton's business landscape. We have crafted a bold, proactive advocacy strategy that will give Brampton's business community a strong, unified voice in steering government priorities and policies towards prosperity and economic growth. Along with redefining our roles and responsibilities, we have significantly expanded our outreach activities through strategic partnerships and sponsorships designed to provide our members with exciting and expanded platforms to promote their interests and take their businesses to new heights. The Brampton Board of Trade is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Brampton on the ground floor of the Goodison Insurance Building. Our address is:

36 Queen Street East, Suite 101

June is National Indigenous History Month! This month provides an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the diverse cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities across Canada.

During this month, we encourage you to take the time to learn about the rich cultures of these communities through content created by Indigenous individuals. Hearing their experiences and stories in their own words can foster a deeper understanding and support the amplification of Indigenous voices and perspectives.

This month also serves as an opportunity to honour the missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQ+ people and reflect on the intergenerational impacts that residential schools in Canada continue to have on First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples today.

The Brampton Board of Trade has made the decision to postpone the 2026 State of the Region event originally scheduled for June 9, 2026.

As one of our premier policy and leadership forums, State of the Region is designed to bring together influential decision-makers, industry leaders, and stakeholders for meaningful conversations. Our goal is always to deliver an event that provides exceptional value, timely insights, and high-calibre speakers for our business community.

After careful consideration, we determined that the current program did not yet meet the standard we have set for this important event. Rather than move forward with a program that falls short of expectations, we have chosen to take additional time to strengthen the speaker lineup, enhance the content, and ensure attendees receive the quality experience they have come to expect from the Brampton Board of Trade.

This decision will allow us to secure stronger voices, incorporate emerging developments impacting our region, and create a more impactful discussion around the economic, political, and community issues that matter most to businesses across Peel.

A new date will be announced shortly. For those who have already purchased tickets, your registration will automatically be honoured for the rescheduled event date, and no further action is required at this time.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you to an enhanced State of the Region program soon.
