Thank you to .ca for a wonderful event as always! The theme is particularly appropriate in the middle of a very quick election season and a lot of current societal upheaval. When we process and resist together as a form of spiritual rest, sensory rest, creative rest, social rest, and emotional rest, with inspiring talks, interactive music, and dancing, as well as getting physical and mental rest at home, we live to fight another day and build our community. This is especially important when so many black healthcare workers, particularly black women, are holding up our healthcare system on their shoulders, and deserve good pay, good working conditions, resources, and respect!
We want to know how we can advocate for , awareness; prevention, and treatment, culturally informed healthcare practice, and equity, diversity, and inclusion in general for residents of Brampton and Caledon! What would you like to see in our community for Black Health and HIV/AIDS care? Are you voting in this for better healthcare?
