The ARF! Community Fundraiser raised $1,405.00 for The Summer DAY OF CARE

So far, $765.97 has been put to good use, with $639.03 remaining for future needs.

These funds have helped purchase practical cleanup, safety, and stewardship supplies for our memorial-space care work, including:

• Trash Grabbers
• Schmidt extendable hoes
• Schmidt extendable three-pronged rakes
• Schmidt extendable hand rakes
• Schmidt extendable weeding brushes
• Regular brooms
• Push brooms with handles
• Metal dust pans
• Safety / traffic cones
• PU-coated work gloves in X-Large, Large, and Medium
• Professional grade 2-gallon sharps containers
• A PPE Supplies Station sign
• Intra-FIT puncture-resistant / cut-resistant safety gloves — Medium / Large (2 Pairs)
• HP printer paper, 8.5 × 11, 750 sheets
• Pink 4 × 6 direct thermal ID labels — 1 roll / 250 labels

These are not just supplies. They are tools of care.

They help volunteers work more safely, move through the site with greater clarity, tend the grounds with dignity, and support the stewardship of the Toronto AIDS Memorial and Trans Memorial grounds.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this possible — the organizers, hosts, sponsors, performers, donors, and every community member who showed up with heart.

With full hearts, DAY OF CARE extends our deepest thanks to ARF! Events, The Men’s Room Toronto, and The Drink for hosting the ARF! fundraiser in support of DAY OF CARE 2026.

What a beautiful reminder of what community can do when care, generosity, joy, and a little bit of wonderfully q***r magic come together.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community sponsors, $3,276.00 worth of fundraising items were donated for the event. Together, the fundraiser raised $935.00 for DAY OF CARE 2026, which was first brought up to $1,000.00 — and then, after a generous $300 donation from Jessyca and an additional $100 from the sale of Liko’s jock, the final total reached an incredible:

$1,400.00 raised for DAY OF CARE 2026.

We are truly beyond grateful.

To every host, sponsor, donor, performer, volunteer, bidder, supporter, and community member who helped make this possible: thank you. Your care helps DAY OF CARE continue its work tending the Toronto AIDS Memorial and Trans Memorial grounds with dignity, safety, remembrance, and love.

Ce don a été entièrement utilisé pour soutenir notre travail de soin et d’entretien des espaces commémoratifs. Grâce au soutien de Spearhead, nous avons pu acheter du matériel pratique de nettoyage qui aidera les personnes bénévoles à prendre soin des terrains du Toronto AIDS Memorial et du Trans Memorial avec dignité, sécurité et respect.

With deep gratitude, we want to thank Spearhead Toronto Leather and Denim Social Club for their generous $100 donation to DAY OF CARE.

That gift has now been fully put to use in support of our memorial-space stewardship work. Because of Spearhead’s support, we were able to purchase practical cleanup supplies that will help volunteers care for the Toronto AIDS Memorial and Trans Memorial grounds with dignity, safety, and respect.

Their donation helped purchase:

10 Schmidt extendable pickup-tools
2 Schmidt extendable hoes
2 Schmidt extendable three-pronged rakes
5 five-gallon pails

These may seem like simple tools, but in community care, simple tools matter. They help many hands work gently, safely, and together.

Hi everyone,

Tonight I attended ARF!, an event hosted by MOJO Toronto, Men’s Room, and The Drunk, and I had an amazing time.

Thanks to Pupper Liko / Canadian Pup and the generosity of the ARF! community, the event raised $1,000 for DAY OF CARE. This is an incredibly meaningful contribution, and I’m deeply grateful for the care, support, and community spirit behind it.

I highly recommend ARF! to anyone on the leadership team who may be interested in attending in the future. The energy, the people, and the sense of community were truly wonderful.
