Established by Catholic Family Services Peel Dufferin (CFSPD) in October of 2011, this 16-agency Centre houses the Safe Centre of Peel (SCoP), one of the few facilities in the country that provides collaborative and coordinated assistance to victims of violence and abuse. It is also home to CFSPD’s head office, and a number of complementary organizations providing a range of services including sup

port for those with physical, developmental, addiction and mental health challenges, the elderly, at-risk youth and adult survivors of sexual abuse. The Centre also serves individuals and families in need of counseling for a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, family and couple conflict, in addition to parenting support. In 2012, in conjunction with community partners, CFSPD established a Community Kitchen, “Good Food Brampton”. Its purpose is to animate projects that will enhance access to good, affordable food for at-risk and homeless populations in the city.
