Nana Patekar Dies at 75: Veteran Indian Actor Passes Away After Cardiac Arrest in Goa

🔴 Nana Patekar, one of India’s most respected actors, has died at the age of 75 on October 8, 2026.

❤️ He suffered a severe cardiac arrest at his home in Dona Paula, Goa, and was found unconscious.

🏥 Doctors took him to Manipal Hospital and tried CPR for around 45 minutes, but he could not be revived. He was declared dead at about 5:20 AM.

🎬 Born Vishwanath Patekar, Nana began his acting journey in theatre before entering films with Gaman in 1978. He became famous for powerful performances in films such as Parinda, Krantiveer, Agneepath, Welcome and Natsamrat.

🏆 During his career, he won three National Film Awards and received the Padma Shri in 2013.

🤝 Beyond films, Nana was also known for social work, including work connected with farmers and rural communities through the Naam Foundation.

🕊️ His death marks the loss of a unique voice and one of Indian cinema’s most memorable performers. Tributes are being shared across the film industry.
