Before Pride Season ( June - September ) starts, let me say this:

• Men’s Mental Health Month matters and supporting men’s mental health should happen all year long, not only in November.

• Pride exists because 2SLGBTQIA+ people have historically faced discrimination, violence, death, exclusion, and the fight for the right to live openly and safely. ( may I suggest watching a documentary called The Gendercode link found below.

• Veterans deserve recognition and support every single day, and their service should never be reduced to a comparison.

Different communities can all be acknowledged, supported, and celebrated without taking away from one another.

Awareness isn’t a competition. Compassion has room for everyone.

History and education matter, which means we each have a responsibility to be accountable for our actions, to unlearn harmful patterns, relearn with openness, and help create a future that is lighter, safer, and healthier for everyone.

That choice is always ours to make.
