The Muskoka Farmer grows delicious vegetables in living soil without pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers on their regenerative no-till family farm in Severn Bridge. Not only do they grow the original “Muskoka Mix” salad blend, Baby Romaine mix and beautiful head lettuce, they also grow exceptional beets, tomatoes of every shape size and colour and varieties that taste nothing like what you can find at a grocery store. They also support other local growers and will proudly tell you the name of the farmer who grew their produce. Come and chat about what’s growing, gardening tips, recipe ideas, the definition of “organic,” agroecology and the soil food web. 🍅🥬🌱

Despite the rain, puddles, and grey skies, our community showed up to support local. We are so grateful to everyone who bundled up, grabbed an umbrella, and spent part of their day with us. Your support means the world to our vendors and helps keep our local food and artisan community thriving. 🥕🍞🌻

A special thank you goes out to our amazing vendors who endured the wet and challenging conditions with smiles, determination, and a passion for what they do. Your resilience and commitment to the market are truly inspiring. 👏❤️

The weather may not have cooperated, but the warmth and spirit of our market community shone through all day long.

Erika’s Bakery is a more traditional bakery featuring all hand made baked goods daily. They are FAMOUS for their Butter Tarts- Hand made, flaky pastry, made with real tender flake and Erika’s own filling! 14 Flavours including a few maple butter tart varieties made with real local maple syrup. Their squares and large cookies are always big enough to share. The most popular ones are the Best Ever Brownie, Date and Lemon Squares and ginger, peanut butter, shortbread and chocolate chip cookies plus lots more. Maple Keys Farm & Forest is a twenty-three-acre farm and forest property just fifteen minutes from downtown Huntsville, lovingly stewarded by Bart Brusse and Lisa Brusse. Drawing on backgrounds in horticulture and environmental conservation, the couple is passionate about connecting the local community with nature, food, and sustainable farming. Throughout the seasons, Bart and Lisa embrace a variety of roles on the farm — sugarmakers in the spring and garlic growers in the summer — specializing in pure Muskoka maple syrup and naturally grown Ontario garlic.🍁🧄🍁
