Brunchkins

Brunchkins is a non-profit organization that provides a nutritious breakfast and packable lunch at no cost to elementary school children in non-profit housing. Our vision is to operate the Brunchkins program in all five non-profit housing complexes in Bowmanville by 2019. Currently, Brunchkins operates out of two of the existing properties. Our daily goal is to build upon the sense of community by

creating a place where families can come together. While parents are encouraged and welcome to come and take part in the daily routine, food is only offered to their school aged children. Kate Craine and Sharon McLean are the co-founders of Brunchkins. Both Sharon and Kate have a education background in Sociology. They both have a passion for social justice and love to work with children and their families. They work together on the front line and are equally committed to the integrity, transparency and success of Brunchkins. Brunchkins is funded 100% by the generosity of monetary donations, food donations, food drives and local businesses. 100% of all donations go directly to the Brunchkins program.
