To every parent who held it together in public and fell apart in the car, we see you.

To every neurodivergent adult who has spent a lifetime translating themselves for others, we see you too.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to end with this: your struggle is real, your exhaustion is valid, and your child's mind is not broken. Neither is yours.

The Davis Method exists because Ron Davis knew what it felt like to be misunderstood, and decided to do something about it. That mission hasn't changed. Help is available. You don't have to keep going it alone. Find a Davis Facilitator near you โ€” www.davismethod.com/facilitator. Take the first step today.

LOVE THIS! Thank you Davis UK & Ireland & Gifts for Dyslexia for this meaningful initiative, helping families and individuals in financial need receive the programs they need.

๐Ÿ’ก A small idea that could make a difference ๐Ÿ“š

Over the past couple of days, Iโ€™ve shared a little about Bridges to Books.

Itโ€™s a small initiative to help make the Davis approach more accessible โ€” particularly for those who would really value it, but canโ€™t easily access it.

It wonโ€™t resonate with everyone.

But if youโ€™ve seen what happens when reading doesnโ€™t โ€œclickโ€โ€ฆ
and how much it matters when it finally doesโ€ฆ

it may be worth a look.

Youโ€™re very welcome to explore it.

For some parents it's a relief. Finally, a name for what they've been watching.

For others it's frightening. A label that feels like a ceiling.

For most โ€” it's both at once.

"It really surprised me. I didn't know what I didn't know."

That's a parent in the

And it's the most common thing I hear from parents after they finally understand how their child's mind actually works.

The film is 33 minutes. Award-winning. Still screening at international festivals โ€” and unavailable anywhere online.

โœจ Feeling incredibly grateful โœจ

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing women of 100+ Women Who Care Saanich Peninsula for choosing The Whole Dyslexic Society as your March charity recipient.

Your collective generosity is already creating meaningful impact. Because of you, our Prevention team can expand support for Early Childhood Educatorsโ€”helping young learners build the self-management skills that set the foundation for lifelong confidence.

And through our documentary WHO KNEW Dyslexia is a Way of Thinking, our Outreach team is excited to spark powerful โ€œahaโ€ moments with educators during Professional Development Days, conferences and community screenings.

We are also deeply grateful to Sue Hall, Julie Brewer, and Shelley Tice for representing our community and sharing this moment.

Thank you for believing in a different way of thinkingโ€”and in the children, families, and educators we serve.

๐Ÿ’™ Together, we are changing the story of dyslexia.

We love a cheque presenting day! Here we are with our March charity winner, The Whole Dyslexic Society team members Sue Hall, Chair; Julie Brewer, Director and volunteer, Shelley Tice.

๐ŸŽฌPASADENA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL โ€“ WHO KNEW Dyslexia is a Way of Thinking has been nominated for Best Documentary Short. The Gala & Award Ceremony takes place April 16th.

We are deeply grateful to director Kelly Conlin, to TELUS STORYHIVE for their generous support and funding, and to Sue Blyth Hall for her extraordinary contributions in production, writing, and on-screen storytelling.

Most importantly, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the families who courageously shared their personal stories. Their honesty, trust, and willingness to be vulnerable are at the heart of this film. Without them, WHO KNEW would not exist in the way it does today.

Weโ€™ve received Laurel Awards at five film festivals so farโ€”and weโ€™re not done yet. ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ

WHO KNEW Dyslexia is a Way of Thinking has been shared through private screenings, reaching audiences around the world. The response has been consistent and deeply meaningful. It resonates powerfully with those who learn differently and sparks countless โ€œahaโ€ moments for parents, educators, and supporters.

Today, at least one-third of the population is disadvantaged by systems that donโ€™t reflect how they think and learn. This film helps explain whyโ€”and more importantlyโ€”how we can cultivate NeuroInclusivity within our education systems, workplaces, and communities.

While WHO KNEW continues on the film festival circuit, we are hosting private screenings. Join our list for the next date:
