Celebrating Gender Equality Week!
The fourth week of September is Gender Equality Week in Canada — a time to celebrate the achievements of women, recognize progress toward gender equality, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable future for everyone.
Did you know? Gender Equality Week was officially established through Bill C-309, the Gender Equality Week Act, which became law on June 21, 2018.
This week is an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come, recognize the contributions of women and girls in our communities, and continue working toward a Canada where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
