Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank Bobcaygeon Helps is a non-profit corporation operating the Bobcaygeon Food Bank. We are fully independent. We serve clients within our own community.

Hours: Tuesdays & Fridays 1:30-3:30pm. On Wednesdays, between 9:30-11:00am, we open to accept donations. The Directors of Bobcaygeon Helps are representatives of the churches. Local clergy also attend meetings and play an active role. Bobcaygeon Helps has no paid employees and is operated entirely by volunteers who provide their time and energy in staffing the Food Bank, stocking the shelves and p

urchasing food with donated funds. These volunteers provide support to
the community in two ways:
• Providing a year round emergency Food Bank facility for families and individuals in need.
• Support local breakfast/lunch school programs. We rely on food and monetary donations from local residents and businesses through food drives and depository bins located at supermarkets. We are entirely self-sufficient and all donations stay within our community.

Many of our clients have school-age children who need a little extra help. Here’s our chance.

As you pick up groceries for the holiday weekend and weeks ahead, please add to our big red barrels conveniently located inside Bobcaygeon Foodland and Your Independent Grocer. Or bring your items directly to the Food Bank on Wednesday mornings where our volunteers will gratefully receive your contributions.

Here’s what’s on our Kid Zone wish list: Granola bars, juice boxes, apple sauces, puddings, mini cookies, mini cereal boxes and small bags of snacks.

It was a full house. Our 6th Let’s Do Lunch event drew more than 70 guests and we are ecstatic!
Friends are bringing friends, new guests are making new acquaintances, and it all shows a good meal is a great way to create community.
Of course, the food was excellent and our mighty team of volunteers made it all happen.

These big red bins are conveniently located inside Your Independent Grocer and Bobcaygeon Foodland where we gratefully accept your non-perishable, current-dated, unopened items.
Our community members who live with food insecurity appreciate all we can do to support them.
