The Maxine Davis Foundation

The Maxine Davis Foundation In 2004 a project commenced inside the walls of William Head Institution. Donations can be made through the Sannich Legacy Foundation.

Originally branded as the Maxine Davis Christmas Care Project, the Maxine Davis Foundation continues its mission of supporting individuals and families in need while expanding community outreach initiatives throughout the year. Corrections officers and the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers collected funds and donated to provide for our first family at The Cridge Family Center and make our fi

rst donation to the Dovetail Program in order to assist families in need during the holiday season. Since 2004, this project has expanded to other departments at William Head Institution, personal friends and family members, and now their friends and family. The 2021 campaign provided relief for six families, and four single women, while making donations to the Sandy Merriman House in Victoria, BC. Only the name has changed, With your support, The Maxine Davis Christmas Care Project will continue to provide for families and people in need during the holiday season not only in Victoria, BC, but also now in Newfoundland. Donating through this foundation provides all donors with a tax receipt.
