Birtle Lions Club was pleased to be able to host members of the Journey for Sight ride tonight and present them with our club donation of $3,000.

Journey for Sight originated in 1985 by Lion Gordon Boulton of the Birtle Club who had a passion for snowmobiling and a desire to raise funds for a very worthwhile project, the Lions Eye Bank. 40 years later and the ride is still going strong thanks to the many riders and support crew who continue to make this happen. And they are off! It’s a bright sunny day with -20. From what I’m told this is the ideal temperature for riding. I’ll take their word for it.
Thanks to the Victoria Inn Flin Flon for a good nights rest for the day ahead…next stop Cranberry Portage.

Another successful year for our Grain for Green Project. Hard to believe this is our 10th year and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without all our wonderful sponsors and volunteers.

All money raised is donated back to the community at large and worthwhile Lions Projects.

Birtle Lions Club is truly grateful for all the sponsors who have contributed over the years! 💞

Hard to believe it will be 40 years!!
