Quinte Branch OGS Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, covers Hastings & Prince Edward Counties in Ontario, Canada. https://quinte.ogs.on.ca Free admission.

Quinte Branch was chartered as the 18th branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) covering the Bay of Quinte area that includes Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and surrounding areas in Ontario, Canada. Our nearly 300 members include those who have roots in the Bay of Quinte area and those who live locally with roots elsewhere.

Quinte Branch holds presentations on the 3rd Saturdays of the month except July, August and December with guest speakers who will share their knowledge. Currently, our public meetings are virtual, via Zoom. Efforts are being made to hold hybrid meetings. Meeting details are available on the FaceBook page. Visitors are always welcome--come and bring a friend.

Our raffle tickets will be $2 each or 3 for $5.
We are raffling a DNA test and a 1 year membership to OGS/Quinte Branch.
Our 'Guess the Object' table will have some interesting items. Lets see how much knowledge you have!

Ancestry Origins updates are starting to roll out!
Ancestry has increased its ancestral regions from 146 to 302, so you may start seeing some changes when you check your DNA results.

I still have questions and am waiting for some answers, but I wanted to make sure you knew to go take a look.

I’ll post updates as soon as I know more, including what I learn about the new SideView features and how Ancestry’s new ethnicity results are being calculated.
