Quinte Branch was chartered as the 18th branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) covering the Bay of Quinte area that includes Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and surrounding areas in Ontario, Canada. Our nearly 300 members include those who have roots in the Bay of Quinte area and those who live locally with roots elsewhere.

Quinte Branch holds presentations on the 3rd Sat

urdays of the month except July, August and December with guest speakers who will share their knowledge. Currently, our public meetings are virtual, via Zoom. Efforts are being made to hold hybrid meetings. Meeting details are available on the FaceBook page. Visitors are always welcome--come and bring a friend.

Anyone out there researching a Thomas Ireland? Likely born somewhere between 1820-1840 maybe in the area of Brighton Township.
I have just been given the attached photograph which was taken at the McLaughlin photo studio in Brighton. Thomas, if the information on the back is correct, was my GG Susan Tallman’s foster father. He was clearly an early member of Salvation Army. Any help appreciated.,

☕️ Commemoration of the United Empire Loyalists’ Landing at Adolphustown ☕️

In 1784, the United Empire Loyalists landed in Adolphustown. To commemorate their arrival, St Alban’s Centre will once again host its annual commemoration service and community social tea.

This event is free and open to the community. Donations are welcome and help support the preservation of this important historic space and its community programs.
