A heartfelt thank you to Tony Cosco for sponsoring a Day of Care at Hospice Quinte in memory of his wife, Sharon Cosco.

A Day of Care is a meaningful way to remember someone who has died while helping provide compassionate care to local families.
The cost to provide this extraordinary level of care is approximately $1,500 per day.

Our services are provided free of charge to patients and families because of acts like this, so we are grateful to Tony for honouring Sharon's memory through this thoughtful gift.

Free for every family. Possible because of you. Learn more about sponsoring a Day of Care: hospicequinte.ca/day-of-care

We hear you. It's easier to see the big numbers and major gifts, and we assume giving is out of our capacity at this moment. But in reality, our community is built by the people who choose to walk alongside families in small, meaningful ways as often as they can.

A monthly gift doesn't have to be large to make a meaningful difference. Together, our gifts help keep compassionate care close to home.

When local businesses choose to support Hospice Quinte, the impact reaches far beyond a single donation. Thank you to Silver-Lotus-Yoga for raising funds to help ensure hospice care, caregiver support, and grief companionship remain free for families across the Quinte region. Community partnerships like this remind us that hospice truly belongs to all of us.

On June 21, AnneMarie Wolfe of Silver Lotus Yoga, delivered a cheque for $1200 to Hospice Quinte from their Summer Solstice event. Pictured left to right: AnnMarie Wolfe, Matt Del Grosso, Pam Hare (Hospice Quinte volunteer)

Yes, that's right! Only 40% of Hospice Quinte's operating costs are covered through Ontario Health funding. The rest comes from caring people in our community who believe every family deserves compassionate end-of-life care, grief support, and caregiver support, free of charge.

If you've been considering making a gift this summer, there's still time to help support families like Cindy and Larry's.

Today on National Nonprofit Day, we’re thinking about what community support makes possible at Hospice Quinte. Sometimes, the clearest way to understand what that care means is to hear from a family.

“I struggle to find the words to convey how thankful and at peace I am that my father was able to spend his final days with your team. Everyone was so wonderful in performing their duties all the while making a very difficult time so much more bearable for me and my brother. Thank you for making my final memories of my father so peaceful and comforting.”

This is why community-funded hospice care matters. Hospice Quinte provides care and support at no charge to families.
Your donations and support make everything we do possible.

Every fundraiser, no matter the size, helps make a difference for local families. Thank you to Daelyn Yntema and Pegasus Cheer Athletics who presented a generous donation from their annual Wings Up showcase: $3,382.35 to Hospice Quinte!

Community-led events like this help ensure hospice care, caregiver support, and grief companionship remain free for families across the Quinte region. We're grateful to everyone who participated and helped make this gift possible!

When local businesses invest in Hospice Quinte, they're investing in the future of our community.
A heartfelt thank you to Trillium Wood Golf Club for their generous $300 donation through this year's Hits for Hospice campaign.

During Hits for Hospice, golf courses across the Quinte region chose a day to donate proceeds from rounds of golf or driving range fees, helping build momentum for More Heart, More Home. Community partnerships like this are helping create more space for compassionate hospice care, close to home, for generations to come.

A heartfelt thank you to Maura-Jo Haytaoglu for sponsoring a Day of Care at Hospice Quinte today on August 11th, in honour of her late husband, Hakan “Hawk” Haytaoglu, on his birthday.

A Day of Care is a meaningful way to remember someone we love while helping provide compassionate care to local families during an important and difficult time in their lives. The cost to provide this extraordinary level of care is approximately $1,500 per day, but care is free for every family who needs it because of our community's support.

Today, we remember Hawk and honour the love and memories that continue to connect families long after someone has died.
Thank you to Maura-Jo, for choosing to honour his birthday in a meaningful way.

Free for every family. Possible because of you.
