News Article Re. CWCR Delegation to the Town of Erin
In a delegation to Erin Council on behalf of the Coalition for the West Credit River(CWCR), last week, Erin resident Ian Sinclair spoke out against the Town of Erin's proposal to delay the operation of an effluent cooling system at the Erin Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF). Originally anticipated to be completed on summer 2025, the facility is now planned to be completed by the end of February, with the cooling system to be completed this spring. CWCR is seeking a "serious commitment" from the town to maintain an open and transparent dialogue and ensure "a full and effective" cooling system is installed before plant operation.

THANK YOU! to GoodLot Farmstead Brewing, So Fly, Patagonia and Drift Outfitters for supporting the Coalition for the West Credit River & Brook Trout in 2025.

Since the inception of the Coalition for the West Credit River, the outpouring of community support to protect the Brook Trout of the West Credit River has been staggering. Thanks to the dedication of so many the Coalition has been able to make significant strides towards protecting one of the few remaining self-sustaining Brook Trout populations in southern Ontario. This past July for the third year in a row our friends at Goodlot Farmstead Brewing (.beer), So Fly (), Patagonia (), and Drift Outfitters () came together in support of our cause. Through both raising funds and awareness for the West Credit River, these organizations have been fighting alongside the Coalition since the very beginning and we couldn't ask for better allies! Thank you to all of these wonderful people for their continued support!
