Sewage-Effluent Discharge Monitoring Stations in the West Credit River
See link to the Town of Erin’s Monitoring Station website for 3 monitoring stations that are installed upstream and downstream of the sewage-effluent discharge location in the West Credit River.
Measuring 8 Environmental Compliance Approval parameters; Air Temperature, Turbidity, Water Level, pH, Chloride, Dissolved Oxygen, Specific Conductivity & Water Temperature.
The Town of Erin is referencing July for their sewage treatment plant testing/trials.
There could be problems, likely related to low flows; due to few homes connected, resulting in low sewage volume.
The plant appears to be 1.5 - 2 years behind the original start up date.
There is no Effluent Cooling System installation date.
The Coalition for the West Credit River continues to be very concerned about operating the plant without the Chillers.

This was an unusually busy time with surface and middle-stream height feeding.
We must continue to protect this remaining jewel of clean, cool water by insisting that the proposed (and almost completely ready to go) wastewater treatment plant in the Town of Erin maintains its strict Environmental Protection plans. The include close monitoring of the effluent INCLUDING CHILLING BELOW 19 deg. C.
