Peter Harrison from Move100 hosted a conversation with our incoming laureates at the NS Business Hall of Fame Gala. Having Peter work with JA Nova Scotia is something we as an organization value immensely. The professionalism and care that Peter puts into his conversation on stage as well as supporting our youth conversation host, is a great example of representing the business community well and helping to foster future business leaders through the youth in our programs.

The 33rd Annual Nova Scotia Buisness Hall of Fame would not have been the same without these special guest speakers. We would like to say thank you to each of you!

Known for his integrity, mentorship, and ability to build strong teams, Tim has guided countless emerging entrepreneurs. A dedicated community leader and philanthropist, he has supported Junior Achievement, education, and mental health initiatives. Inducted into the NS Business Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 Incoming Class of Laureates James Kehoe is a respected entrepreneur and community builder whose career spans more than five decades of business leadership in Nova Scotia. Beginning as an apprentice carpenter, he co‑founded Joneljim Concrete and Construction Limited, which grew into Cape Breton’s largest construction company. He has since built and partnered in a diverse portfolio of enterprises across construction, manufacturing, real estate, and services. Widely recognized for his commitment to mentorship and community economic development, Jim has played key roles in organizations such as New Dawn Enterprises and the BCA Investment Cooperative. His leadership, philanthropy, and integrity continue to strengthen communities across the province.

Volunteer Opportunity - Immediate Support Needed!

We are looking for three volunteers to support our Economics for Success program at Rocky Lake Junior High School on Tuesday, October 27, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Training and orientation will be provided. Securing these final volunteer spots will ensure all Grade 9 students benefit from a fully supported classroom experience with two volunteers facilitating each session.

Can you help? If you are available, please contact Kiah at [email protected] as soon as possible. Your commitment, even for a single morning, will make a meaningful difference for these students.
