The story is…this walk into wonder.

The Mural Foundation is so pleased to receive a painting from Lisa Ramer to auction off as a fundraiser for future murals! This beautiful piece will soon be open to bid on with the winner being announced at the Beaverlodge Art Walk.

“Forests are a place of deep peace in my life. It is a place I love to wander to find my
quiet. This painting is inspired by a trail near my home where I have spent many hours walking and running and just wandering. Sometimes I just sit down and listen.
I love the feeling of exploring what is up ahead, just beyond where I can see. It is
always a journey of wonder. I hope you will join me on this walk into wonder.”

See comments below for more about Lisa! Details to come soon regarding the auction.

2025 Christmas Craze Friday Dec 5
The Beaveriodge Mural Foundation will have table set up from 5 to 8 in Mcleods during the Christmas Craze. We have hidden an Elf on a Shelf! We'll have a variety of stocking stuffers for sale, coffee mugs, postcards of our various murals and family leaves. Our family leaves project is a nice way to engage children into family lineage as well as displaying some art related to either family events or their own personal chalienges and successes. The BMF will also have a large drawing of a mural that we're planning to paint and install in 2026. Please stop by and give us your thought about this and our other murals about Beaverlodge.
Trail Tire(Petro Canada) is donating Hot Dogs and Hot Cocoa from 6 to 8 PM and SANTA will be on site for pictures and activities from 7:30 to 8:30.
There is STUFF going on everywhere during the Christmas Craze day and evening on Friday Dec 5 in Beaverlodge, with the ELKS Fireworks Celebration wrapping up everything at 9:15 PM at the Ag Barns.

Family leaves Fall 2025
Our warm, dry and incessant winds of spring and summer sure played havoc with our "Family Tree" leaves. Even though our "tree" was nestled between the library and the spruce windbreak at the town office, our family leaves still suffered major wind injury. Leaves were continuously blown off and replaced throughout the summer.
Thank goodness for fall!
Fall finally arrived and like all the other trees in Beaverlodge our "Family Tree" has lost its leaves for the winter also. But don't despair, "Hope springs eternal"! and your family tree leaves will return in the spring.
All the family leaves will be reworked through the winter in the hopes that we can build more robust stems to hold your family leaves better to the Beaverlodge family tree branches. To that end, if anyone has any suggestions as to what would work better for holding our leaves to the tree branches and the string of leaves together in the face of our winds we would appreciate hearing from you.
Until next spring let's all hope for a mild winter, early warm spring and sufficient moisture to recharge our rivers, fields and gardens for next year.
Family tree leaves are still available for $5.00ea at the Beaverlodge library or by contacting the Beaverloge Mural Foundation at [email protected].

The Beaverlodge Mural Foundation (BMF) would like to thank all the community members who came and painted on our Alberta Cultural Days indigenous themed mural. This mural was created by indigenous artist Catherine “Cat” Aldred depicting the three prominent indigenous cultures in our area, the Cree, the Beaver (Dene-Zaa) and the Metis.
You have all helped create an extraordinarily colourful mural that is a welcome addition to our mural collection.
Look for this mural to be installed on the west side of the storage shed behind the Beaverlodge library sometime in October.
