Last Wednesday, June 24, members of the Beaconsfield Rug Crafters Guild took part in the St. Jean Baptiste festivities at Centennial Hall in Beaconsfield, joining many other local associations and community groups for a wonderful day of celebration.

Emmy, Chris, Erin, Karen, Harold, Elizabeth, and Denise were on hand to showcase a selection of beautifully hooked rugs, demonstrate several rug hooking techniques, and represent our guild. Carolyn and Liz also stopped by for a visit. Visitors were invited to pick up a hook and hoop to try rug hooking for themselves—a hands-on experience enjoyed by many!

It was a wonderful day filled with beautiful weather, great company, live music, and entertaining strolling performers. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about the art of rug hooking. We always enjoy sharing our passion with the community!

Despite the rain keeping us indoors, the spirit of the Beaconsfield Hooking Crafters Guild Summer Picnic was brighter than ever! We enjoyed a wonderful day of hooking, show and tell, delicious homemade brunch and lunch made by our guild members, shopping with vendors, a paper bag auction, door prizes, and we also celebrated a birthday! Most of all, we cherished the camaraderie of fellow rug hookers from several guilds. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special!
