To the Basketball Community,

The current executive committee of our Minor Basketball Association as made the decision to step down from their volunteer roles after 14 years of service.

We are now reaching out to parents, guardians, coaches, former volunteers, and members of our community who may be willing to step forward and help keep minor basketball running in our area. Previous attempts to find volunteers the last several months have failed.

The reality is simple: without a new group of volunteers coming forward, the program will not be able to continue. Guidance throughout the first year is certainly available.

Running a minor association does not require one person to do everything. A strong group of volunteers can share the responsibilities and make the workload very manageable.

If you have ever thought about getting involved, now is the time to step forward. Let's work together to make sure minor basketball stays available for our youth.

THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered their time and energy over the years to make the association grow from a hand full of youth to over 140. We hope that, together, we can build a new volunteer group and keep basketball moving forward.

If you are willing to help please contact Dave Chaisson at [email protected] or text 506-543-1642 before Friday, October 2nd as the season if quickly approaching.

thank you for your continued support.

David Chaisson
President / Bathurst Minor Basketball Association
