🎈 THAT'S A WRAP ON RIVER BEND 2026!

Five days of balloons, events and community - another River Bend Balloon Fest is in the books.

To our pilots and crews, volunteers, sponsors, landowners, vendors, community partners, timber sports athletes, and everyone who joined us throughout the weekend: thank you.

The weather wasn't exactly on our side this year. We know how disappointing it is to book a flight or come out hoping to see the balloons take to the sky, only to have the wind make other plans. While we always love launching right here in Bath when conditions allow, we're grateful we were able to get one beautiful flight in from an off-site location.

But even when the balloons couldn't fly, there was still lots happening at River Bend. We had great turnouts at the fairgrounds and Fire Hall, welcomed two new pilots, and had an incredible Candle on Saturday night. We were awed by the skills on display by the timber sports athletes who participated in the Trevors-Goodine Professional Lumberjack Competition. We heard so many positive comments, welcomed plenty of first-time visitors - including some who travelled from quite a distance - and saw the community continue to show up through every weather hold and change of plans.

The weather may determine when the balloons fly, but it doesn't determine what kind of weekend we have. ❤️🎈

🌤️ Balloon flights are entirely weather-dependent. Before every flight, our pilots meet for a briefing to review current conditions, forecasts and other factors that determine whether—and where—a safe flight is possible. A decision may not be made until close to the scheduled flight time.

⏳ Waiting for an update usually means a decision hasn't been made yet. Pilots may still be reviewing conditions, watching how the weather develops or completing their briefing. We'll do our best to update this post at least every 30 minutes—even if we're still waiting for a decision.

📍 Not every flight launches from the Batj Fairgrounds. Depending on wind direction and conditions, pilots may choose an off-site launch location. We don't announce these locations in advance so we can keep access clear for pilots, crews and passengers and respect the private property of the landowners who make these launches possible.

🙋 We're a small group of community volunteers. Launch time is one of the busiest times of the festival, and our volunteers may be helping with many things at once. We'll always do our best to share accurate information as quickly as we can.
