It was founded in Ottawa in 1898 by Lady Aberdeen, wife of Canada's Governor General. Since then May Court Clubs have been established in 9 Ontario cities. The Barrie branch was established in 1970 and joined the Association of May Co

urt Clubs of Canada that same year. The Barrie Club presently has over 125 members. May Court has raised over $2,000,000 for Barrie area and donates over 15,000 volunteer hours a year benefitting women, children and the elderly in our community.
