Barrie Food Bank The Barrie Food Bank provides food relief to individuals and families in our community who are in need, and supports them on their journey towards well-being.

Barrie Food Bank provides food relief at no cost to individuals and families of our community who are in need, and supports them on their journey towards well-being. We collect food donations throughout the year, and with a team of 200 volunteers, we distribute this food to over 6000 individuals each month.

We’re closing this week with 60% of our financial goal and 50% of our food goal reached! 🎉

A HUGE thank you to every individual, company, organization, school, and club across Barrie that has supported our Thanksgiving Campaign. Whether you’ve donated food, contributed financially, or organized a food drive, your generosity is making a real difference in our community. 💙

But we still have work to do, and we need YOU! 🙌 With just 4 days to go before Thanksgiving, let’s come together to reach our goal and help ensure more families in our community have food on their tables.

🥫 Here’s how you can help:

💻 Donate online! Make a secure donation from your phone or computer in just a few clicks and receive your tax receipt instantly.

🛒 Shop and give! Pick up a few extra non-perishable food items during your grocery trip and drop them into the Barrie Food Bank donation bins at participating grocery stores.

Every dollar, every can, and every act of kindness brings us closer to our goal. Together, we can make a difference and help ensure our neighbours have the food they need this Thanksgiving.

Barrie Food Bank will be closed Monday, October 12, for Thanksgiving.

We will reopen Wednesday, October 14, during our regular hours to welcome and serve our clients.
Thanksgiving looks different for everyone. This weekend, we hope there are moments of kindness, connection and comfort, however you choose to spend it.

🦃☀️ Another successful Turkey Drop with Rock 95 and Zehrs Bayfield! 💛

What an amazing day of community spirit! We loved working alongside the Rock 95 team, welcoming listeners, and seeing our incredible volunteers come together to collect donations and make a difference.

Thanks to your generosity, 229 turkeys and $1,927 were raised to help Barrie Food Bank continue providing food support to individuals and families in our community. 🧡

A huge THANK YOU to Rock 95, Zehrs Bayfield, our dedicated volunteers, and everyone who stopped by to donate and support this important cause. Every turkey, every dollar, and every act of kindness helps put food on the table for our neighbours.

Barrie, we’re getting closer, but we still need you! With just a couple of days before Thanksgiving weekend, we are currently at:

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and Rock 95 is bringing the community together to support Barrie Food Bank!

Join us for the Rock 95 Turkey Drop and help make Thanksgiving brighter for local families.

🦃 Grab a turkey on your way to Zehrs Bayfield, bring it to the Turkey Drop, and you could be celebrating with Rock 95 at the Birthday Bash!

Your turkey will also help provide a Thanksgiving meal to someone in our community who needs it. ❤️

📊 September Monthly Stats Are Here

Our September numbers show us once again why community support matters.

👵 Senior visits increased by 15% compared to this time last year.
🥫 Emergency food support visits reached 885 up 27% over last year.
❤️ And overall, we closed the month with 7,659 visits to Barrie Food Bank.

These numbers are more than statistics. They show the continued and growing need for food support in our community.

Your support helps us keep food on the shelves and continue serving the people who need us most.

We’re making progress! 💙

Our ONE CAN. WE CAN! Thanksgiving Campaign is underway, and thanks to our incredible community, we’re already 16% toward our financial goal and 20% toward our food goal! 🙌

But there’s still a long way to go. Every donation, whether it’s food or funds helps ensure our neighbours have access to nutritious food with dignity.

🏠💙 Thank you for being part of our Open House!

A huge thank you to everyone who visited Barrie Food Bank on Saturday: Donors, families, community members, and neighbours. We loved connecting with you, answering questions, and sharing a little more about the work happening behind the scenes. 💙

It was especially wonderful to see families with children learning about the importance of giving back and supporting their community. 🌱

A special thank you to our incredible volunteers and staff for making the day possible! 🙌
