The Chapter Youth Committee (C*C) is a youth-driven leadership committee dedicated to creating a sense of community by providing a safe mental, physical, emotional environment to support youth affected by MS. The C*C acts to support all activities of the local
MS Chapter, and provides direction and feedback to the Chapter Board which comes from a youth’s perspective on the issues and projects that affect them. The C*C members are dedicated to giving a voice to the youth affected by MS, and meeting once a month to work together to accomplish this goal. Composition
The C*C is currently recruiting members to join our cause. If you are between the ages of 15 to 25 and are passionate about supporting the mission of the MS Society of Canada, we’d like to hear from you! ***This is a new committee being started in Simcoe County, the first of it's kind in Ontario! Whitney Murray, a 22 year old attended an MS Summer Camp in the summer of 2010 and shared her story in January 2012's MS Society newsletter. From there, it seemed that Whitney couldn't be the only youth wanting a committee dedicated to creating a sense of community to support youth affected by MS. Whitney was invited onto the Board of Directors as a Youth Advisor and has the role of Chair of the C*C. She is looking to recruit a network of youth with individual experiences and expertise who can act as a resource to their Chapter.
