The club is proud to have a highly skilled group of over 3 dozen NCCP certified coaches that are dedicated to the development of young athletes. The Barrie Ro

yals Basketball Club was established in 1985 by a dedicated group of teachers, high school coaches and basketball enthusiasts. The club has grown from one Midget Boys competitive team to eighteen Boys and Girls competitive teams from U10 Novice to U19 Junior age categories. The competitive Rep teams' season commences with tryouts in September each year and concludes with participation in the OBA Provincial Championships at which many teams have been successful, winning over 80 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals over the years. The Barrie Royals are proud of many young basketball players that have excelled on Ontario Basketball Regional and Provincial Teams as well as at the University and College level. Our players, coaches and volunteers are participating in the fastest growing team sport in Canada and living in one of the best communities in Ontario and the Barrie Royals provide an opportunity to develop skills and experience. We welcome basketball enthusiasts to join us. In June 2017 a newly elected Board of Directors re-established the clubs Mission and Vision statements. MISSION STATEMENT

That's a wrap!
The U14 705 boys wrapped up their summer season in Montreal! With some intense, super close games these boys worked hard to the very last second even securing a win in OT!!

We could not be more proud of their growth over a short period of time. Their hard work, dedication and perseverance says it all!

U12 Boys Summer Team

With a brand new team and only three players returning, we had a very successful season. We went 9-0 in the regular season and successfully made it through two rounds of the playoffs. Ultimately, we lost a hard-fought battle in the finals to 17 Ignite.

We are incredibly proud of what this team accomplished this summer. Way to go boys!!!

U14 Girls Barrie-York Ontario Summer Games Team - includes 9 current and former Royals who were selected to the team, plus one u17 Barrie Royal player as an assistant coach and two current  Barrie Royals coaches as head and assistant coach.  Opening ceremony for the Games is on Thursday, July 30th at 630pm followed by 2 games on Friday and 2 games on Saturday with the possibility of 2 games on Sunday.
